II. Examination FAQs
When do you conduct the program examination?
There are no scheduled exam dates since the exams are offered to the candidates as Examination on Demand mode. The candidate is allowed to take the exam as and when he or she is ready, subject to meeting the laid academic criteria like all the tutorials, completing the required number of assignments and project's.
How do you conduct the exam?
Exams for all the 4 modules covered under CSMER are conducted online.
What is the modality of the exams?
The assessment modalities of the exams are as follows:
The assessment of this course is based on four module end examinations and the final examination. This involves in successfully completing this course are gained by studying modules and passing a series of assignments and exercises with good emphasis on the final exam.
What is the assessment and marking system followed in the examination system?
The grading system consists of a) Assignments b) Module End Tests
The weight-age for grading is follows:
There will be 10 assignments in total and each assignment will carry 100 marks. However for the final evaluation purpose assignments will carry a weightage of 10% of the final evaluation.
Participants have to compulsorily submit at least 10 assignments to qualify for the final examination.
Module End Test
Module end tests will be 100 marks test. There will be 4 module end test in total and the weightage for the 4 module end test will be 20% of the final evaluation.
Live Project = 10%
100 Questions - Time allowed 75 minutes (No negative marks) Type- Objective
Weightage to overall grade = 60%
What is the grading system adopted by your Dalal Street (DSIJ) academy?
The examination grading system is as follows:
Grade A - Distinction 70% and above
Grade B - Credit 60% to 69%
Grade C - Pass 50% to 59%
Grade D - Marginal Pass 40% to 49%
Grade F - Fail 39% and under
Do I have to register for the exam just like the way one does for the university exam?
You will have to complete all the module end examinations as well submit assignments in order to be eligible to appear for exam. You will then be allowed to proceed to take the final exam..
How much do I have to pay for the examination?
The examination fee component as of now is included in the total program fee itself. As and when the exam fee will charged separately then only you will be required to pay the requisite exam fee.
What is the duration of the exams?
The final exam duration is of 75 minutes and consists of 100 objective type questions.
Do you conduct exams at the end of very subject/ course?
Yes please refer to point no. 3.
Do I have to take a retest after I fail in the exam?
You will be allowed to make 1 more additional attempt to take the retest, in case you fail to clear the final exam in the first attempt.
If yes how do I put in a request for a retest?
You have 2 attempts available with you. You can attempt before the end of the course duration.
When do I take the retest exam?
You can retake the exam anytime as per your convenience within the course duration.
How many attempts are available for students in case of Final Exam if a student wants to improve his/her score in final exam?
You have 2 attempts available with you and you can use the same to improve your scores. For those students who have failed in final exam please refer to question no 10 for reference.
When is the exam results announced?
The exam results are generated soon after the submission of the online answer sheet.
How and when do I get my mark list?
The mark list is generated after the submission of the online answer sheet and the same can be printed for ones personal reference. However in case one needs a Formal hard copy of the mark sheet, one can apply for it and it shall be delivered at the candidate's registered postal address (as mentioned in the registration form).
How will I get the program certificate?
Same process as in the case of the process for getting the mark sheet as mentioned in point no.13 & 14.
Do I have to fill a separate application form for getting the certificate?
No you don't have to fill a separate form for getting the certificate.
Depending upon our need you can get either soft or hard copy; however please note that the hard copy is a paid facility.
